Hi Guys,

Do the folder structure changes that LM have made to P3Dv2.5 have any implications for Sim720 scenery products. I personally haven't tried installing any yet as I'm waiting for Orbx to patch their products for v2.5 before I update to it.

As far as I'm aware these are the changes made:

Terrain.cfg:
Old location: P3D2 root folder
New location: C:\\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

SimObjects:
Old location: Within "Prepar3D.cfg" located in C:\\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2
New location: Now it's own "SimObjects.cfg" located in C:\\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2

Addon Scenery folder:
Old location: P3D2 root folder
New location: Removed entirely

Cheers

Gordon

Hi,

I haven't tested 2.5 yet but based i what i have read and what you posted no changes needed. We don't touch terrain.cfg, simobjects or addon scenery folder.

Why did they remove the Addon Scenery folder? It seemed like a perfectly good location to store freeware scenery packages.

no idea you would have to ask the smart people at LM.
