I like Oban, but there are a load of monochrome grey houses, towards the south end of airfield and across the bridge in the town. Are these missing textures or something ? They look awful.

:(

By the way, I have Libs 131015 installed, and its Orbx's FTX Scotland running.

Barry, thanks. Is it a fault with my installation, or is it common to everyone ?

Yes, I promise not to laugh...and I will apologize to the locals!

However, I've just toured that housing area using Google Earth Street View, and while there are some light grey ( or rather, what were once white ) houses, the colours are much more varied and brighter than that dark uniform battleship grey.  :)

Hey Paul!

When making the custom autogen sheet for Oban we had to fit buildings from Oban and Stornoway on the same texture sheet, this limited the space we had for variety unfortunately. We are currently looking into the possibility of a second texture sheet and a few replacements to enhance the variety and limit the amount of grey buildings you have pointed out.

This is not a definite at the moment however it has been listed and maybe in the future we can change this.

Sam, thanks for the reply. I've no doubt Sim720 has done its best with this, but I can't help thinking that if London can be modeled with such a diversity of textures, surely the same could be done with little Connel. It may be that because there are more buildings in London, repeating textures are spread out across a wider area and are not so obvious to the eye. Nonetheless something does need to be done; this is a scenery add-on thats showing anomalous features. I'll continue to check here for any updates, but for now I'll hold back on anything further. All the very best.
