Hi guys,

I'm having issues with night lighting at Oban and Stonrnoway (running in P3D 2.0)

I know that PAPI's are completely absent in P3D v2 at the moment and Paul is working on that.

However, runway night lights are completely absent when I "spawn" on the runway at the beginning of a flight, and when landing they do not become visible until I'm almost on top of them.

1 - No Stornoway runway night lights

2 - No Oban night lights (the white landing lights at the threshold of runway 19 ARE properly visible though)

3 - Oban lights come to life once I'm VERY close to the runway (but it doesnt ilumintae along its entire length)

4 - Same issue at Stornoway - lights only come to life at very close distances immediatly around my position - not at any reasonable distance

For comparison; here are some shots of UK2000 Glasgow scenery (in P3Dv2 with exact same graphics settings)

With Inverness release imminent has there been any progress with the P3Dv2 lighting issues?

Yeah scenery lighting seems to be one of the first major hurdles to overcome in v2.

Lots of issues with Orbx / Aerosoft / Flytampa etc scenery lighting

Good luck :)

Any inspiration regarding the zoom issue /  disappearing runway and taxiway lights in P3Dv2 yet Paul?

Not yet, i did spend some more time today but got no where new. I think it is going to be a case of waiting for LM to release a patch for P3Dv2 before it changes.

Paul,

I noticed that the latest updated bug fix list posted on the LM website now shows the "BackCompat Issue - night apron/taxiway/runway approach lighting issues" as fixed.

Do you reckon this will help/cure the nightlighting issues I've highlighted in this thread - or is this something different entirely.

Cheers

Yup - fingers, toes etc etc crossed

Looks like they're still hoping to release v2.05 patch before the end of January
