Mal,

I assume you are aware that UK2000 Liverpool Xtreme is available? What you may not be aware of is that one of the SIM720 beta testers (Kevin Firth) created a small extension for this airport that adds several industrial buildings (plus plenty of clutter) behind the main airport. This is of excellent quality, and really adds to the atmosphere.

Hi Chris,

Yes mate, I do indeed use UK2000 Liverpool Xtreme, I just thought that an offer by SIM720 would proberly suit Orbx scenery better ie: seasons etc!

Cheers,

Mal....

PS Where would I find this extra scenery from Kevin Firth?

Go to the UK2000 main forum page, and scroll down to the Liverpool Xtreme section. You will notice a section called "Child Boards - Liverpool VFR X Buildings" underneath it. Click on this, and you will be taken to Kevin's site. Scroll down the page until you reach a post dated Wednesday 23 March 2011. This section of the page includes the download links.

On a side note.....whilst I am sure that SIM720 would do a great job recreating this airport and its surroundings, I personally feel that we need each of the UK scenery developers to "work together" to enable us to see as many high quality versions of different airports and airfields as possible. Since we already have a very good quality Liverpool Airport from Gary Summons, I think it would be better for SIM720 to concentrate on building an airport that has not been done yet (or is not currently in the pipeline by any other developers in the near future).

There are a large number of reasonably large UK airports that have not been done at all yet, and it would be nice to see as many of them covered ASAP! Here is a list of UK airports that I would like to see upgraded........

EGAC Belfast City

EGNH Blackpool

EGHH Bournemouth

EGVN RAF Brize Norton

EGSC Cambridge

EGBE Coventry

EGNV Durham Tees Valley

EGPD Aberdeen

EGTE Exeter

EGNJ Humberside

EGJJ Jersey

EGTK Oxford

EGMD Lydd

EGMH Manston

EGHQ Newquay Cornwall

EGSH Norwich

EGPK Prestwick

EGMC Southend

EGPB Sumburgh

The airports in bold are currently in development by ORBx (Aberdeen, Cambridge and Sumburgh), UK2000 (Jersey and Prestwick), and another developer (Belfast City). Someone at ACG is building Brize Norton, but those freeware projects can take years to create!

Hi Paul,

I too have this problem of EGPE runway bleed through, any chance you let me have the updated files, I also have Orbx Scotland and FTX Central is set to Global, I

found that if i disable FTX_EU_SCO_06_CVX\scenery\ 0_excl_FTX_EU_SCO_GUID_all.BGL the bleed through stops but I don't know what else this BGL does.

John

Just found the CVX_S720_EGPE_flatten_Orbx2.zip in another post which has cured the problem, But, I also noticed the I also have the approach light issue (They appear and dissapear when flying the approach).

John

Hey everybody,

I have the same problem with the flickering runway at Inverness, can somebody help me with that? I have installed the flatten.zip with ORBX Scotland but it does not solve the problem.

Thanks and regards

Sebastian

Can you confirm what your control panel setting is on? (Default/Orbx/Horizon) and that it matches the software your using.

Try this file for the flickering runway.
1. Download Attached File  CVX_S720_EGPE_flatten_Orbx2.zip   985bytes   645 downloads
2. Unzip and place here "{fsx/p3d}\SIM720\Airports\SIM720_EGPE\Scenery\"
3. Test

If that doesn't work i will need a screenshot or 2 to see where the flicker is for you along with a list of any other addons you have.
