Hi Todd,

Not sure why but my home pc looks like yours after a re-install but work pc after a re-install looks normal.

Can you try this file for me, it fixes my home pc
1. Download
2. extract and overwrite the file here "{p3d}\SIM720\Airports\SIM720_KCRQ\Scenery\"
3. report back

I just purchased and installed KCRQ but I see this:

KCRQ_zpsmdhekpmo.jpg

I uninstalled the scenery and then reinstalled again after redownloading the scenery, but the results are the same.

I am running P3Dv2.4 with FTX Global and Vector.  Any ideas?

Todd

Todd,

Can you disable the CVX_S720_KCRQ_flatten.BGL file (change .BGL to .OFF), and then test it again?

Hi Todd,

As you have FTX Vector installed can you search for this file "ABP_KCRQ.bgl" the installer should of disabled it if its in the default location (by adding .OFF to the end) if it hasn't can you do rename it with .OFF
If that isn't the problem please perform a search on your whole P3D folder for "KCRQ" and look down the list for any that aren't in the sim720 folder and let me know what they are.

Interesting. I get this:

KCRQ_flattenoff_zpskiyfpj8d.jpg

It looks better, but there are still pockets of missing ground texture.

Paul - I found the file and it was disabled - ABP_KCRQ.bgl.OFF.  After doing a search for KCRQ, the only non-sim720 files that I found are 3 files from the FTX Global freeware KCRQ. However, I already disabled those files and doing so did nothing.

Do you have any mesh products?
What are your mesh settings in game? 5m or 10m?
Do you have any other addon's in the region?

also can you select a default plane (let me know which one) and tell me the height when your sat on the runway at each end.
Something is conflicting somewhere, in testing the only file we found conflicting was ABP_KCRQ.bgl and with that disabled P3Dv2.4 with global and vector looks correct.
I'm just doing another fresh install of P3Dv2.4 now to triple check.

Todd,

Sorry for leading you down the wrong track. I just remember a similar issue for one of the beta testers when they were using FTX Global. I am sure that Paul will be able to help you resolve the issue.

 Chris,

You didn't do anything wrong - . I appreciate you trying to help! In fact, I think you helped discover the problem.

Paul,

I swapped the files and it worked. Thanks!  What was the issue?

I changed the height of the flatten. It's weird because my work pc with same setup doesn't like the new file but my home pc does.
At least that sorted for you.

I had the same issue, and am delighted to find the solution this morning. The new flatten bgl, used with FTXVector, corrected the KCRQ's height on my system as well. Perhaps the new file should be included as a configuration option?

As my home is just 5 miles from McClellan Palomar, I'm tremendously pleased to have this sim720 edition. The fidelity is amazing!

We have released Patch 1 which now has a toggle option in the control panel (along with other fixes) to adjust the height for Orbx global and vector if needed
