As the title says, the aircraft triggers a collision when rolling over (into) the 3d grass

I was only on the grass by inches as I turned a corner but my wheel touched a section of 3d grass and the sim detected this as a crash

(I was in ASs Twin otter but the default prop/glider thing will do it as well)

Can the collision properties be removed from the grass?

I would like to keep collision detection on

TIA

Dave

Hi Dave,

Can you double check its the grass by turning it off in our control panel as the grass doesn't have crash properties (at least shouldn't) I will double check next week when in work as well.

Is the grass part of the Clutter 1 or Clutter 2 option?

I don't have a specific 3d grass option and the other options are self explanatory (and don't involve grass)

Dave

Edit 1

I disabled all the checkboxes in the control panel and the grass still remains (and still causes a collision)

I also tried the different Grass seasons (just in case that might make a difference (It didn't))

If I turn detect collisions off I can drive quite happily through the grass

To replicate,

start in GA Large Parking 1 and just drive forwards, the grass directly in front of you will cause the issue

(although other grass sections do as well this is the easiest to demonstrate with)

Edit 2

I manually renamed all the grass files to be suffixed .OFF to make sure they couldn't appear and I could drive over the areas they used to be

Hi Dave,

Sorry I forgot grass isn't on or off its different amounts or different seasons. I see you worked out how to disable the grass anyway and I will look at fixing the grass next week.

Hi Dave,

I have removed the crash boxes from the grass and will release a new version of the SIM720 LIB later this week.
In the mean time here is the file you need

1. Download Attached File  S720_LIB_Veg.zip   441.5KB   524 downloads
2. unzip and overwrite the file located here "{fsx/p3d}\SIM720\Airports\1_SIM720_LIB\Scenery\S720_LIB_Veg.BGL"
