Sim Crashes on load up.

Hi,

 

Please note today is my last day before surgery (see limited support post)

 

We need more info than it crashes on load up please.

 

What addon's do you have?

What aircraft are you using?

What settings are you using?

Does it crash when loading up at the airport only? i.e can you load at a nearby airport?

Can you try disabling the airport then load up the default version, does it work?

Any crash logs?

 

We have currently been unable to duplicate the crash in P3Dv4.

 

Note, I've deleted the duplicate posts and the bump post as your sounds different already and its better to deal with it in seperate posts so people dont get confused.

Hi, I hope you got better,

 

Since we spoke I have got a brand new system on the go,

 

Intel 8700k,

Niveda 1080ti,

2 ssd's and 2 hybrid drives.

The thing runs DCS on my Vive without even a whimper,

 

So I installed P3D on a brand new ssd Samsung 999 Gig. I know right, I will pay my Creadit card off one day.

I installed FTX Global, Vector, Europe, Scotland, England, Wales, N Island, S Island, infact all land classes most regions and quite a few airports.

 

I installed numerous Caranado GA aircraft, 3 A2A aircraft, all my Aerosoft aircraft and airports.

 

I install my UK2000 airports my PTA tool, my Rex Sky Force 3D Active Sky 16,

I'm safe to say that I was actually enjoying the sim, you know for entertainment purposes.

 

Then I remembered I had some SIM720 addons. 

So I downloaded Oban, 

 

The sim (P3D V4) had a heart attach and got stuck loading new scenery indexes, I let it sit at 96% for 5 min,

 

I then rebooted my PC, the P3D splash screen was still present.

 

I think I know what the underlying problem is, it's the SIM720 add on, 

 

It's ******* 14 days of bliss.

Hi,

 

The error you are getting seems common for P3Dv4 according to google but everytbody is getting it randomly, no 1 addon seems to cause it and you are the first person ive seen report it with our addon and i know loads of people that are using our addons in P3Dv4 without a problem.

From what i found on a google search it appears its a corupt file, a common file was the scenery library file and some people have found using a backup of the scenery library has fixed it. Our tool should of created a backup of the scenery library file before adding our entry(s) to it so its worth trying it and if it works manually add our entries again.
