Hi

After a few flight into and out of OBAN I just wanted to say thank you for this scenery package as this scenery package is absolutely fantastic, I couldn’t be happier with it, so you can count me in for all your future releases.

Thanks also for the support you gave recently it was and still is appreciated.

Does anyone use the Sim720 Oban scenery with Scotflight 2.5 installed? I want to purchase the Oban scenery package, but I will have to work out which Scotflight files to remove. This will not be just the airport, as they have added buildings and other objects in the area.

I don't have scotflight Chris, so can't help much, without knowing what it actually includes, but I should imagine you'll be able to determine fairly easily if any of the scotflight stuff falls within the area of Oban, and thus which version you want to keep? K

Oh, I don't think that there will be any worry about which version I will want to keep, Kevin :) It would probably be useful to know the area covered by the Sim720 version, so that I can check which Scotflight objects I need to remove. Maybe you could send me a screenshot, Kevin?

Family get-together in Weymouth, not that far from you guys but too far to pop over to see you given the ear bashing I got from SWMBO recently over the time spent on flight sim related stuff :P

Hi

I do have Scotflight installed but not the Photoreal version and in mine I just disabled the Scotflight version as below..

In the Scotland_Main folder I disabled the following .bgl files by adding .OFF to them after the bgl..

AF2_EGEO.BGL to  AF2_EGEO.BGL.OFF

AF2_EGEO_CVX.BGL to AF2_EGEO_CVX.BGL.OFF

AF2_EGEO_OBJ.BGL to AF2_EGEO_OBJ.BGL.OFF

And in the Scotflight Libraries folder the following have also been disabled in the same way..

Oban_VehiclesObj.bgl to Oban_VehiclesObj.bgl.OFF

Oban_AirportObj.bgl to Oban_AirportObj.bgl.OFF

And I have not seen any remains of the Scotflight EGEO airport when at EGEO, I have not flown around the remaining Scotflight airfields but it shouldn’t be a problem.

I hope it helps.

Hi

I just hope it helps, one thing I did forget though is that I have Oban above the Scotflight entry in my scenery list, sorry about that.

Take care and have fun in Oban.
