Dundee Airport - EGPN

Dundee is really the only prominent Scottish Airport that good quality payware hasn't been developed for.

Sim720 have been kind enough to give us Oban, Stornoway and Inverness

UK2000 have released Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cumbernauld - Prestwick is due for 2014 release

Aerosoft have done Barra

Orbx have Sumburgh and Aberdeen in the pipeline for 1st half 2014 release

I'm aware of the Scotflight scenery packages; no disrespect to the devs but it just doesn't cut it visually for me.

I think if Sim720 could give Dundee their attention then that would nicely round off all the regional and international scottish airports

:D

The problem for SIM720 with respect to Dundee is that ORBx FTX Scotland includes a detailed version of the airport. That would effectively cut off one third of the customer base for a SIM720 version (default/ORBx/PlayHorizon). Nevertheless, as a PlayHorizon photoscenery user, I would love a SIM720 EGPN Dundee, although I actually quite like the Scotflight version. The problem with Scotflight airports is that quite a few exhibit low resolution textures on buildings, and this really is unacceptable in 2014. I have even removed several Scotflight buildings completely on my PC (identified the buildings in question, deleted them, and then recompiled the BGL files) because the texture resolution looked like something from FS98!

Kirkwall - EGPA

Given that Sim720 already has a working relationship with Highlands and Islands Airports through the Inverness and Stornoway projects.

Another possible avenue of opportunity would be the Republic of Ireland. After all, SIM720 developed this region for ORBx, so it deserves to be populated with quality airports to match ;)  We have the Eiresim version of Cork already, and Aerosoft will be releasing Dublin X very soon. Eiresim did make a version of EINN Shannon for FS2004, but I personally think that it looks a bit bland, and it does not include a photo base image. I would love to see a SIM720 version of this airport, which is considered to be a "stepping stone" between continental Europe and the USA. It has a huge runway (10495 feet), so even the "heavy" pilots could use it :)
